The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

"Beth, that was one of the very best performances I’ve seen on stage in Ann Arbor! It was really special—“high performance values” as Susan Morris used to say, wonderful singing, including yours! And such great acting! It was a full production minus scenery. Musically and dramatically so much alive! And I kept thinking, this is the ONLY performance—this is like the cherry blossoms in Japan, to be valued in part because they are perfect but fleeting. And I was so proud of it being an Ann Arbor, local, production."
